A healthcare staffing company is embroiled in a legal battle over alleged trade secret theft. On December 8, 2025, Aequor Healthcare Services, LLC filed a complaint in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona against Meda Health, LLC and Logan Frank. The lawsuit accuses Meda Health and its former employee, Logan Frank, of misappropriating confidential information critical to Aequor’s business operations.
Aequor Healthcare Services claims that Meda Health and Logan Frank unlawfully accessed and used their proprietary Bullhorn Candidate Database (BCD) and Pricing Database. These databases contain sensitive information about potential job candidates and pricing strategies that give Aequor a competitive edge in the healthcare staffing industry. According to the complaint, Frank allegedly copied this data before leaving Aequor for Meda Health in July 2023. “The BCD undeniably constitutes one of Aequor’s most valuable assets,” the complaint states, emphasizing its importance to their business model.
The lawsuit alleges violations of the Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA) and the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA), among other claims. Aequor contends that Meda Health hired several of its employees under confidentiality agreements to gain an unfair advantage by accessing these trade secrets. The complaint highlights how Frank used his position at Meda to solicit Aequor’s clients using confidential information, thereby breaching his post-employment obligations.
In response to these allegations, Aequor seeks multiple forms of relief from the court. They request an order compelling Meda Health and any associated parties to return or destroy all copies of their proprietary databases. Additionally, they seek monetary damages for losses incurred due to the alleged misconduct, including attorneys’ fees. “This misappropriation has caused damages…in ways that are incapable of precise calculation,” argues Aequor in their filing.
Representing Aequor Healthcare Services is attorney Neil A. Berglund from Freeman Mathis & Gary LLP. The case is being heard under Case ID 2:25-cv-04588-MTM with jurisdiction claimed under federal law due to alleged violations involving interstate commerce.
