Attorney General Kris Mayes will participate in a teletown hall on Thursday, November 13, 2025, aimed at helping Arizona residents protect themselves from scams that often occur during the holiday season. The event is organized in partnership with the Arizona Department of Veterans Services and AARP Arizona.

Joining Attorney General Mayes will be John Scott, Director of the Arizona Department of Veterans Services, and Dana Marie Kennedy, State Director for AARP Arizona. According to organizers, veterans in Arizona have been increasingly targeted by scammers, prompting the three organizations to provide information and resources to assist this community.

“Arizona Veterans are being targeted by scammers and the Attorney General’s Office, Department of Veterans Services, and AARP Arizona want to provide resources and tools to our Veteran community,” stated the organizers.

The public is invited to participate in the teletown hall by calling 866-641-6840 at 5:00 PM on Thursday. Members of the press can also join using the same number.
