In a recent decision by the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division Two, the court upheld an administrative law judge’s ruling denying Rene Rodriguez Lopez’s claim for workers’ compensation. Lopez, who was employed by Central Arizona Block, Inc., claimed he sustained a back injury while performing his duties. Despite Lopez’s assertions and medical evidence presented, the court found that he failed to establish a compensable injury by a preponderance of the evidence. The ruling emphasized inconsistencies in Lopez’s testimony and medical records, as well as conflicting expert opinions on the nature of his injury. Consequently, the court affirmed the denial of his claim.
