Shea Homes Inc., along with SH WR Marketing, LLC, and SH AA Development, LLC, have filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona against James Crouch (also known as Ora James), Geraldine Lavallee-Biddle (also known as Eleanor Gough), and unnamed defendants John and Jane Does 1-20. The plaintiffs allege that the defendants engaged in a campaign of false and defamatory statements about Shea Homes’ Trilogy brand community at Wickenburg Ranch. These statements were reportedly disseminated through various online platforms, falsely claiming that Wickenburg Ranch is not a Trilogy community and accusing Shea Homes of unethical practices. The plaintiffs are seeking damages exceeding $75,000 for defamation, trade libel, business disparagement, and tortious interference with business expectancy.
